Q. How far is the hotel from St Kevin’s Monastic City and Glendalough Round Tower?

The Glendalough hotel is 64 steps, (approx.) away from the Medieval archway and steps that lead into the Monastic City where visitors will find the Glendalough round tower, the two High Crosses, seven churches of Glendalough and the priest’s house.

Q. Is there much to do nearby?

There is lots to do nearby both on foot and in your car. The Monastic City is steps from the hotel and there are walks and hikes to suit all abilities, follow this link to learn more about Hikes and Walks, and here you will find Things to do locally including visiting Avondale House, and beyond the trees, Russborough House, Driving the Wicklow Gap, Mountain biking in Wicklow, Wicklow Jail, and lots more.

Q. Is there Wi-Fi in the hotel?

Yes, the Glendalough Hotel offers complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the hotel.

Q. Is there a leisure centre at your hotel?

We like to think we have one of the largest open-air leisure centres in Ireland. The Glendalough Hotel does not have a leisure centre however we are surrounded by beautiful countryside and there are several walks and hikes that pass our front door, some brave souls dip in the chilly waters of the lakes which are a short walk from the hotel. 

Q. How far is the Glendalough Valley from the Hotel?

We are the only hotel located in Glendalough Valley, the hotel is just steps from the Medieval entrance to the world-famous Monastic City and a 20-minute walk from the Upper Lake.

Q. Does the hotel have music on at the weekends?

The Glendalough Hotel has live music some Saturday nights in Casey’s Bar & Bistro, call us to find out what is on.

Q. Is the Hotel wheelchair accessible?

Yes, the Glendalough Hotel has ramps leading to and from the hotel for easy access, we offer a selection of wide seating areas to cater for wheelchairs. We have newly renovated accessible bathrooms in our accessible bedrooms.

Q. Does the Hotel offer a packed lunch option for people staying in the hotel?

Yes, the team in the Glendalough Hotel can send you to the hills with a filling packed lunch and those with an early start can order a breakfast grab bag.

Q. Is it possible to request a late checkout?

While we like to accommodate our customers whenever we can, late check-out will depend on events running in the hotel. You can send a request when you book or ask at reception, but we can’t always guarantee a late checkout.

Q. What time is Check-in?

Check-in time is at 3.00 pm but if you were to arrive before your room is ready, we can hold your bags so that you can begin to explore our beautiful valley.

Q. Is breakfast included in the overnight stay rate?

Yes, a full Irish breakfast & buffet is available to all our guests.

Q. Do you have a business centre?

The Glendalough Hotel does not have a business centre, but we can help with any searches and printing of your required information.

Q. Does the Hotel supply cots for infants to sleep in?

Yes, the Glendalough Hotel has a number of cots available for infants- If you require a cot, it is essential that you confirm this when booking so that we can ensure we have one available for you.

Q. If I booked on a website other than the hotel website and I need to make a change to my reservation. How do I do this?

We cannot change a booking via a third party, so you must go through the booking agent/website that you went through to change your reservation.

Q. What is your cancellation/deposit policy?

We require a credit card at the time of booking. You must cancel at least 48 hours prior to arrival to avoid our cancellation charge.

Q. Do you have connecting rooms?

The Glendalough Hotel has two connecting rooms. It is essential at the time of booking to request these; it is not always possible to meet guests’ requests, but we will be sure to inform you.

Q. Do you have wheelchair-accessible rooms?

Yes, The Glendalough Hotel has accessible rooms. These rooms include roll-in showers with bars and added facilities.

Q. Is there parking at the Glendalough Hotel?

Yes, the hotel has a car park for hotel residents and there is parking available on the street outside the hotel however at busy times on the street parking may not be available.

Q. What dining options do you have in the hotel?

Casey’s Bar & Bistro offers lunch and dinner menus, and the Farm Kitchen has an extensive menu as well as snacks available on the terrace overlooking the Glendasan River or in our restored Barn.
