Many of our guest bedrooms have views into the valley where the ever-changing Irish weather ensures that no two days’ views are the same.

Every year people flock to Glendalough to see the Ancient Monastic City, to experience the tranquillity that St Kevin identified when he first decided to settle here and to enjoy the many walks and hikes that surround us.
There are famous hikes like the Wicklow Way, and more gentle walks down to the two lakes, the Upper and Lower lakes from which Glendalough got it’s name, “gleann dá locha, meaning the ‘glen of the two lakes’.
The Monastic City was located here for the peace and tranquillity that surrounds it, visitors come from all over the world to attend spiritual retreats at the Monastic site organised by the many retreat centres located near the hotel and many stay with us.
