The Valley is full of so much history and one truely interesting place to visit while you are here is the Glendalough Mines. The mines date back to the 1790’s and the ruins are a short walk from the hotel. There are local guides who can talk you through the 150 year history of these mines or you can read the link below and wander up there yourself to get a sense of how they worked all those years ago.
